The Island - a promise?

I watched it in GSC on Saturday. Well, it’s a nice movie, worth watching. After watching the movie, I knew I had to blog on it. Cloning living creatures is an act of acting as God! When God created Adam, He breathed into Adam the breath of life.

Genesis 2:7
“And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.”

From the beginning of humankind, God was the Creator of heaven and earth. How can man take over God’s place? For example, the surgeons function to operate surgeries. Now after so many generations, the veterinarians decide they can operate human body after working with animals for decades.
You understand what I’m saying? Sometimes, it’s just about being who we are and continuing what we do. Humble ourselves and know that there are experts who have done it since the BEGINNING. We are in no position to play smart and outsmart God.
Just look at man’s creations… Automobiles have killed thousands and thousands in collision since its introduction in the 19th century. Whatever man created never lasted long and worse, some brought undesirable effects. I define man's creation as DESTRUCTION.
Every action was supported by good-natured “motives”. As years passed, we’ll start to see truth from the Book of Revelation unveil itself. It’s beyond just cloning – there’s the micro-chip implant on animals (which gradually will be implanted on man). First, there was Dolly the Sheep. Now, Koreans are cloning dogs. What lies in the future? Except man’s dreams to play God. And when we see man is putting on the shirt with a huge label of PRIDE, they will soon be clothed with a nice shirt with a huge label of FALL.

Genesis 11:4–8
4 And they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, and a tower whose top is in the heavens; let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth.”
5 But the LORD came down to see the city and the tower which the sons of men had built.
6 And the LORD said, “Indeed the people are one and they all have one language, and this is what they begin to do; now nothing that they propose to do will be withheld from them.
7 Come, let Us go down and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.”
8 So the LORD scattered them abroad from there over the face of all the earth, and they ceased building the city.

Humble ourselves and know that God is a gracious God. He only confused the builders. He didn’t strike them. See how merciful God is and His love for all humankind was proven when He sent His Son to the Cross for the final sacrifice.

As I’m busy pursuing my dream (at work), I miss God’s presence. I know deep in my heart God is the one who brought me through storms and floods. I felt an overwhelming need to humble myself and submit to Him who has pulled me out from drowning.

I love you, Lord!
