Is it human nature...?

I don't know whether this is true...
Majority of us (both men and women)
are like little children...
We play with toys,
Barbie dolls, teddy bears,
remote-controlled cars, planes
or anything else you name it...
Sometimes, we get bored with it after a while
and start asking for new toys...
So, the poor old toy is left in the corner
not getting any of your attention anymore.
As the new toy comes and has your full attention...
the old toy is left behind.
Now, one day, your mum's friend
brings her kids to play in your house
and it happens that they saw the old toy that's left
in one corner with no one playing it.
So, they take it and play with it.
In that instant, you see them playing with your toy,
and you got upset and being selfish,
you don't want anyone to touch it or to play with it
eventhough you don't want that toy anymore...
But rather have it left in that secluded corner
collecting dust than to have someone else play with it...

Ponder this as a life story, it can be any phases
in your lives.
As straightforward as the story,
you really demand ownership on your toys.
Or, in school, friends, work, relationships,
pets, cars, clothes...
It can be anything...

Are you letting something precious in your life slip away?
Are you being selfish?

*wink* It keeps me wondering and pondering myself...
